High-tenacity polyester cord embedded in a polymer coat — a safe, economical and recyclable replacement for steel strapping. Its stretch and recovery absorb impact and load shift that often snap steel strap, and the soft, rust-free strap will not injure handlers or damage valuable or irregularly shaped loads. CS-86 (25 mm) is the standard-pallet workhorse; CS-106 (32 mm) handles heavy loads and vehicle securing.

Frequently asked questions

What is composite strapping?

Composite strapping is high-tenacity polyester cord in a polymer coating, used with wire buckles to secure cargo. It replaces steel strapping with a safer, rust-free, recyclable alternative.

How strong is UNI composite strap?

UNI SC86 (25 mm) breaks at 925 daN for the strap and 1,480 daN as a system with its wire buckle; SC105 (32 mm) reaches 1,500 daN strap and 2,400 daN system break - DNV-GL type-tested values.

Composite strap vs steel strapping - which is better?

Composite strap does not rust or stain cargo, has no sharp edges, weighs less, can be re-tensioned and is safer to cut, while delivering comparable system strength for most cargo-securing jobs.

Which buckle goes with which strap?

Use the 2560 phosphatized wire buckle with SC86 (25 mm) strap and the 3270 buckle with SC105 (32 mm) strap.
